
Arctic Curling Cup 2018 will take place at Ice arena “Taymyr” from 24 to 27 May 2018. This tournament is a part of World Curling Tour. 10 double mixed teams will participate in the tournament.
Canada: Joanne Courtney and Reid Carruthers. Team: 2017 World Mixed Doubles Championship – silver. Reid – 2011 world champion (men’s teams), Joanne – 2017 world champion (women’s teams).
Canada/Sweden: Rachel Homan and Niklas Edin. Rachel – 2017 world champion (women’s teams), Niklas – 2014 and 2018 Olympic medalist (men’s teams), multiple world and European champion (men’s teams).
Russia: Anastasia Bryzgalova and Alexey Timofeev. Anastasia – 2016 world champion (mixed doubles and mixed teams). Alexey – 2014 Russian champion (men’s teams and mixed doubles).
Russia: Maria Komarova and Daniil Goriachev. Team: 2018 World Mixed Doubles Championship – silver medal. Daniil – 2016 world champion (mixed teams).
Russia (Krasnoyarsk Krai): Anna Venevtseva and Vassily Groshev. Anna is participant of Arctic Curling Cup 2018.
Finland: Eszter Juhasz and Markku Uusipaavalniemi. Eszter – Finnish champion (women’s teams and mixed doubles). Markku – 2006 silver Olympic medalist (men’s teams), world championships medalist (men’s teams), European champion (men’s teams and mixed teams).
Czech Republic: Zuzana Hajkova and Tomas Paul. Team: 2013 World Mixed Doubles Championship – bronze.
Sweden: Malin Wendel and Fabian Wingfors. Young Swedish players, Swedish national team members, Swedish Superleague champions.
Switzerland: Jenny Perret and Matthias Perret. Jenny – 2018 Olympic silver medalist (mixed doubles), 2017 World Champion (mixed doubles).
Scotland: Gina Aitken and Duncan Menzies. Gina – 2016 World Mixed Doubles Championship semi-finalist, multiple Scottish champion (mixed doubles).
