In 2017 Team Anna Sidorova won the international Arctic Curling Cup, which was held for the first time in Dudinka. Then the Russians won all five matches in the tournament, including the final against the team of 2014 Olympic champion Jennifer Jones from Canada. Then together with Sidorova played Margarita Fomina, Alexander Raeva, Kira Ezekh and Alina Kovaleva.

Anna Sidorova is the most successful skip in Russia during the 2010s. She has two victories at the European Championships (2012 and 2015), five medals at five World Championships in a row (2014-2018), two victories at the Winter Universiade (2013 and 2015). Anna became the champion of Russia eight times, for the first time in 17 years in 2008.

Fomina and Ezekh have been playing for the Moscow club "Moskvich" and the Russian national team together with Sidorova for many years. Julia Portunova and Julia Guzieva are new people in the team Sidorova, they represent the Krasnodar region (at the same time both began their careers in Kaliningrad). Both Julias also performed in 2017 at the Arctic Cup, then they took third place in the team of Victoria Moiseeva. In 2016 Portunova and Guzieva won the European Championship gold in the team Moiseeva.

This season for Anna Sidorova as a whole develops not really successfully, she didn't take part at the World and European Championships (Russia was represented by Alina Kovaleva's team), so Anna will twice want to prove at such serious tournament that she is still the leader of the Russian and world Curling.
