World and European Champions from Scotland will play in Arctic Curling Cup
In the world of women's curling, there are four countries whose teams claim the highest places in all major tournaments – Canada, Switzerland, Sweden and Scotland. The Russian teams have made significant progress over the past 10 years and compete on equal terms with the strongest teams in the world.

Teams from all leading countries – Canada, Switzerland, Sweden, Scotland, Russia - will play at the Arctic Curling Cup in Dudinka.

The best Scottish team of skip Eve Muirhead will play in Dudinka and try to win the last tournament of the World Curling Tour 2018/19.

Together with Eve in Dudinka will play:

Lauren Gray (1991)

Vicki Chalmers (1989)

Vicki Wright (1993)

Team Muirhead – one of the most experienced among all participants Arctic Curling Cup, Eve for many years play with Gray and Chalmers and has achieved significant success with them.

Eve is a representative of the curling dynasty. Her father Gordon – World and European curling champion in the 1990s, and two brothers Glen and Thomas in the Scottish national team became silver medalists of the 2017 European championship.

Among the most important achievements of Muirhead – victory at 2013 World championship in Riga and two gold medals at the European Championships in 2011 in Moscow and in 2017 in St. Gallen. The gold at 2013 World championship was only second for the women's teams of Scotland, previously in 2002 the team Jackie Lockhart became first Scottish world champion.

In 2014 Eve Muirhead led her team to bronze at the Olympics in Sochi. In the match for third place Scottish (Gray and Chalmers also played in this team) managed to defeat Switzerland with the score 6:5. It was Muirhead who brought his team the decisive point in the 10th end, perfectly putting the rock in the center of the house.

Thus, tournaments in Russia are successful for the team of Eve. Will they be able to succeed again, this time in the very North of the country, in Taimyr? The tournament in Dudinka will be held from 23 to 26 may.
