Now all teams are known

Very soon from 24 to 27 May 2018 Arctic Curling Cup will take place in Dudinka, Russia. 10 teams from all over the world will compete in Dudinka. Let’s take a closer look at last two confirmed teams.

Maria Komarova and Daniil Goriachev are the team which will be very interesting to see for Russian fans. In April 2018 they made a sensational run into final at World Mixed Doubles Championships. Only famous Swiss team was able to stop young Russian players in last match. On their way to final Komarova and Goriachev defeated three teams with higher ranking after group stage including South Korea which won 9 time in 9 matches before it.

Maria and Daniil play for Adamant club from Saint Petersburg, one of the best in Russia. Daniil (born 1995) has one world title: in 2016 he was a part of Russian team at World Mixed Teams World Championship. Same team from Saint Petersburg won Russian National Championship in 2016 and 2017.

Maria (born in 1998) is a medal winner at national women’s team championship in 2015, 2016, 2017. Maria and Daniil won bronze medal at 2017 Russian Mixed Doubles Championships.

Anna Venevtseva – curler or golf player?

Anna Venevtseva and Vassily Groshev are the players from Krasnoyarsk Krai. Anna doesn’t have great achievements in curling but maybe she is best golf player among all curling players in the world. She won several regional golf tournaments, took part in Russian Championships. Anna was skip of Krasnoyarsk Krai women’s team at Arctic Curling Cup last year (7th place). This year Anna will play with Vassily Groshev, they already play together in several tournaments.
